The world’s largest online retailer Amazon announced the purchase of the supermarket chain Whole Foods Market for 13.7 billion dollars. The company will pay for $ 42 for each share of Whole Foods Market, in the amount of the transaction included and the responsibility of the supermarket chain.

Amazon and Whole Foods hope to close the deal by the end of 2017.

As stated in the online retailer, Amazon is not planning any dramatic changes in the Whole Foods: stores will continue to operate under the same brand, and the CEO of the company will remain acting head John Maki.

Buying company Amazon networks Whole Foods that have not been considered obvious partners will be a major deal, combining online and offline retailers.
