Anthracite from South Africa has arrived at CHP

Batch of coal is 75 thousand tons of needs to ensure the smooth operation of Chernigov and of the Darnytsia heat and power plant.

Arrived in Ukraine another batch of anthracite coal from South Africa with a capacity of 75 thousand tons, reports NewsOne.

According to journalists of TV channel, this supply will provide continuous operation of the two CHP - Darnitsa and Chernihiv - in the heating season.

“The South African coal is high quality, has a low ash content, high calorie content. This all leads to the fact that such coal required less and consequently reducing the formation of ash and slag,” commented the supply Vyacheslav Selivanov, Director of the Euro-Reconstruction, owning Darnitsa CHP.

According to him, the next delivery is scheduled for the end of the year.

“I can reassure consumers this heating season, and also autumn-winter maximum loads, we will go adequately,” - said Selivanov.

We will remind, earlier today the state company Ukrenergo reported that its energy system is technically ready for the autumn-winter period 2017-2018.
