In Ukraine opened a case against Auchan and Peugeot because of work in the Crimea

The company believes that their work on the Peninsula does not contradict sanctions of the European Union and the legislation of Ukraine.

French retailer Auchan (Auchan) will continue to work in Crimea, despite the pre-trial investigation launched by the Prosecutor General’s office of Ukraine in respect of the company’s activities on the Peninsula.

This was reported by RNS with reference to the senior Vice President for communications of the company Auchan Antoine Pernod.

“We have decided that we will continue to offer some vital products to the local population of the Crimea, in particular food, also we will not reduce the number of jobs (currently work there 250 people)”, – said in response to Auchan at the request of the Agency.

Auchan’s representative said that the work of the retailer in the Crimea is not contrary to the sanctions of the EU and Ukrainian legislation.

As reported Корреспондент.netthe Prosecutor’s office of Crimea opened a criminal case against French companies Peugeot and Auchan in connection with the activities of their representative offices on the Peninsula.

That Metro and Auchan trade in the Crimea, media reported last year. It was reported that the products are delivered through the Kerch port, despite EU sanctions against Russia.
