Khatia Dekanoidze, re-acquired citizenship of Georgia.
The former head of the national police of Ukraine Khatia Dekanoidze returned Georgian citizenship. She reported about it on air of TV channel 112 Ukraine.
“I had no other citizenship other than Ukrainian. A few months after I left the position (head of national police of Ukraine – ed), I applied to the President of Georgia repeatedly and received Georgian citizenship. I was born in Georgia, so by law it is possible”, – noted ex-the head of national police.
According to Dekanoidze, she has a great desire to take an active part in Georgian politics.
“I think now it is very important not only in order to prevent a rollback, but will not return to Russia’s orbit. It is very important to me, is a matter of honor,” – said the former head of the national police.
Dekanoidze lost his Georgian citizenship after was appointed to a government position in Ukraine.

Recall Dekanoidze has resigned from the post of head of national police of Ukraine on 14 November 2016.
