“A few days will begin the smelting of iron, and then resumes the entire production cycle,” – said the Agency interlocutor.

Earlier it was reported that DMK up to that point worked at 25-30% of capacity due to the lack of coke and working capital. 30 Mar 2017 DMK was stopped “due to acute shortage of working capital and lack of raw materials for the work.” Press-service of the enterprise said that one of the reasons is the non-refund of value added tax from the state.

In April, the State Treasury service reported that the DMK in March-April received a VAT refund in the amount of 1.85 billion.

In early July the company had appointed a new General Director Alexander Podkorytov, the head before the Yenakiyevo metallurgical plant. In addition, Sergei Taruta, one of the owners of the holding company ISD, which includes the Dnieper metallurgical plant, said he will act as a guarantor of the solvency of the company to creditors and will negotiate with the shareholders about the terms of immediately run.

After this agreement was reached with suppliers of raw materials and energy. In addition, the shareholders agreed to run the company and guarantee of current payments for raw materials and energy. Debts of the plant will be restructured and will begin to be paid to creditors after stabilization of the DMK.
