Today representatives of law enforcement bodies of the Republic of Estonia has transferred law enforcement bodies of Ukraine of a citizen of Estonia Vladimir Polyakov of criminal liability for participation in the activities of the so-called Luhansk people’s Republic. This was reported Generalny Prosecutor of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko on his page in Facebook.
The poles twice during 2014-2015 has arrived in the occupied territory of the Luhansk region, where he took an active part in the activities of the combat units of the “LC” and was wounded.
When trying the third time to go to the “LC” through the territory of Russia the beginning of 2015 he was detained by law enforcement authorities of Estonia. The Prosecutor General’s office of Ukraine appealed to the Prosecutor General of Estonia with the request for extradition Polyakov. This request was satisfied, however, the extradition decision was appealed against by the suspect and his defence in the Supreme court of Estonia. June 17, after hearing, the superior court of this state a decision on extradition entered into force and today Polyakova transferred to Ukraine.
We will remind, the decision on issuance was made in December 2015.

The head of the security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Hrytsak in an open letter thanked the Estonian colleagues for their assistance in the arrest and extradition to Ukraine of Vladimir Polyakov.
