GPU asks to put the commander of “Berkut” during the events of 2010
They are accused of abuse of power and provoking conflict in the Ukrainian house in 2010 when they arrested the members of “Svoboda”.
The state office of public Prosecutor passed to the court indictment in the criminal case against the commander of the capital’s Berkut, the platoon commander and five of their subordinates police officers, is spoken in the message of the GPU.
It is alleged that they at the direction of former MP of the Party of regions Vadym Kolesnichenko has exceeded his authority and provoked the conflict in the Ukrainian house, and then used force unnecessarily and detained 14 people.
In April 2010, the police detained 13-15 supporters of the all-Ukrainian Union Svoboda on suspicion of destruction of the exhibits of the photo exhibition “Volyn massacre”: Polish and Jewish victims of OUN and UPA”, which on April 8 opened in the Ukrainian house in Kiev.
In addition, according to the Prosecutor General’s office, these law enforcement officers prevented journalistic activities and assaulted by a journalist of one of the television channels.

It is noted that the articles under which accuse these individuals, provide imprisonment for the term from 3 till 8 years with deprivation of the right to occupy certain positions for up to 3 years.
We will remind, Kolesnichenko declared wanted in August of this year. According to media reports, Kolesnichenko is located in Sevastopol.
