Parliament has allocated quotas to the students of the occupied Peninsula.
The Verkhovna Rada has allocated quotas for admission to universities applicants who live in the occupied territories, according to the results of examinations on competitive subjects, without external testing. The corresponding bill No. 6116 supported 238 deputies at the meeting on Tuesday, may 16.
Students who live in the temporarily occupied territory, receive quotas in universities of Zaporizhzhya, Mykolaiv, Odesa and Kherson regions.
For receiving such students a fixed quota of 1000 places of the state order, which are distributed between these two universities.
Also universities should provide an in-depth study of the Ukrainian language to its students from the occupied territories.
