In Crimea, the area of vineyards has decreased by almost three times – to 30 thousand hectares. This was stated by the Chairman of the Committee of Parliament annexed the Peninsula on agrarian policy, ecology and natural resources Igor Budanov, reports Crimea.Realities.

“In order to revive the industry and return to her old scale it is necessary to solve a number of problematic issues, both at Federal and regional levels,” said Budanov, calling to introduce a specific law for wineries.

The newspaper reminds that last year the Minister of agriculture of Russia has criticized the Crimean viticulture.

The head of the Crimea Sergey Aksenov said that he intends to make the Peninsula a competitor for world leaders in wine production.

Recently the largest producer of wine in the Crimea Massandra, the company announced the reduction of prices from 30 to 50 percent in support of the tourist season on the Peninsula.

In April of this year at the wine Expo Vanitaly in the Italian Verona the Russians made clear the stand of the wine from the Crimea.
