Ukraine 99 percent agreed on pension reform with the IMF
The work will be completed within one and a half weeks.
Ukraine agreed on a pension reform with the IMF is 99 percent, leaving only technical details, said the Minister of social policy Andrei Reva.
This was reported by Minister of social policy Andrei Reva after the government meeting on Wednesday.
“99 percent of the reforms agreed. Left technical points. We do not expect approval on the results of negotiations with the IMF for transition to the next stage,” he said.
According to him, the work will be completed within one and a half weeks.
“I think one and a half weeks – and the work to be completed. We agreed that final details we will coordinate via videoconference,” said Reva.
The Minister added that the bill may be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada until may 16.
On the eve of the Deputy Prime Minister Pavlo Rozenko envoy criticized the IMF for its advice regarding the reform of the Ukrainian pension system.
Also recall that recently Reva said that Kiev is convinced the IMF not to raise the retirement age for the Ukrainians to 63 years.
