Klimkin and OSCE Secretary General discussed the strengthening of the security component of the CMM in the Donbass.

Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin during the meeting with OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Jannaram December 8 in Hamburg noted the need to ensure permanent monitoring of the special monitoring mission (SMM) of the organization along the line of disengagement of forces in certain districts of Donetsk and Lugansk regions, the press service of the Ministry.

The Minister also stressed the need for the presence of the SMM monitors on the uncontrolled section of the Ukrainian-Russian state border. Klimkin said about the importance of monitoring by the OSCE and its independent institutions in the annexed Crimea and reminded the grave violations of human rights on the Peninsula.

The meeting also discussed the possibilities of strengthening the security component of the OSCE SMM in Ukraine to ensure effective monitoring and verification of implementation of the Minsk agreements.
