Lyashko: Granting Ukraine a visa-free regime – an incentive for reform

Ляшко: Предоставление Украине безвизового режима - стимул для проведения реформ

The leader of the faction of the Radical party in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (VRU) Oleg Lyashko convinced that the Parliament will soon prepare a draft laws on amendments to the regulations. He said this at a joint press briefing with the leaders of factions in Brussels, which aired “112 Europe”.

“I am convinced that in the near future Ukrainian Parliament will prepare laws on introducing amendments into regulations of the Verkhovna Rada, so many of the questions that have been developed, so we implemented them and the Ukrainian Parliament worked according to European standards. Our communication with European politicians show one obvious thing that the Ukrainian (European – ed.) partners want to see from Ukrainian authorities to real reforms and actions, not their imitation. The same require and Ukrainian citizens, and the crisis. Because power often mimics the words of the reform of the reform, and actually a significant reduction (levels) of human life, deterioration of the investment climate, lowering of social standards”, – said Lyashko.

He noted that the early parliamentary elections as one of the ways out of this crisis will entail the destabilization of the situation and the termination of cooperation of Ukraine with international financial organizations.

“Therefore, our party offers a way out – not re-elections and a new coalition, the new programme of action and radical reformatting of the government”, – said the leader of the faction of the Radical party.

Lyashko also said that for Ukraine is important the support of European partners on the issue of visa-free regime, “what do you expect millions of Ukrainians”.

“The Ukrainian government and Parliament have done quite a lot, fulfilled all the conditions for us this is a key decision. I would like to ask the European Commission and the European Parliament to understand that if there is a negative signal in question “bezveze”, it will be perceived very negatively inside Ukraine. And this is the factor that may slow down the pace of reform. Providing “bezveze” is a stimulus for reform and revitalization,” said Lyashko.
