The Parliament of the Republic of Moldova adopted in the final reading a law according to which wine in the country is excluded from the list of alcoholic beverages and is officially recognized as a food product, according to Moldpres.
According to the report, the decision was taken by Parliament on March 17 to support domestic wine.
In particular, it is noted that with the entry into force of the document, this product will no longer be limitations on advertising and selling at night, because wine is a “food product made solely by alcoholic fermentation, partial or full, fresh or frozen grapes, crushed/broken, or fresh grape must”.
In addition, according to the law, the changes will create preconditions for the development of the Moldovan wine sector.
