The court of Chisinau sentenced the Moldovan businessman Vyacheslav Plato to 18 years in prison. About it reports “Interfax”.
Prosecutors had asked for the accused to 23 years in prison.
It is noted that Plato had previously been denied the right to attend previous meetings due to his “bad behavior” and insult the judges, however, were delivered Thursday to the sentencing.
The businessman was not allowed to speak with the last word, however, he managed to shout a few phrases immediately upon posting of the sentence.

Recall that in July 2016 the businessman Plato detained in Kiev. He was in possession of a passport of citizen of Ukraine to another name, as well as diplomatic and ordinary passports of the Republic of Moldova, Bank cards and more than 500 thousand UAH. On 28 July he was arrested for 40 days according to the decision of the Ukrainian court. In August, Ukraine was extradited to Moldova businessman. It in Moldova, was accused of fraud in especially large size and money laundering. I assume that he brought from Banca de Economii (BEM) to more than 800 million lei ($20 million).
