The Russian side showed great interest in the Ukrainian exercise in the Kherson region and ascertained the reliability of defense of Ukraine, reports “Interfax-Ukraine”.

So says the chief of the General staff of the Armed forces of Ukraine Viktor Muzhenko.

According to him, the Russian military is closely watching the Ukrainian fire at the landfill on the Peninsula Yagorlytsky Kut.

“The planes were, ships were, watching this start. I think they also made sure that the air defense of Ukraine to date, reliable”, – said the head of the General staff in the air, “TCH”.

In turn, the Ukrainian military said that the exercises also tested the restored at the facilities of Ukrainian enterprises of the defense complex air defense equipment, in particular, anti-aircraft missile systems s-300.

“Experienced equipment that has received new life. That is, our Ukrainian enterprises have serviced this technique has provided in some parts to upgrade and also give more possibilities in using it,” – said the commander of the Air forces of Ukraine Sergey Drozdov.

Earlier, Russia threatened missile strike in the case of the Ukraine military exercises near the Crimea. The warning contained in the letter of the Ministry of defense of Russia, addressed to the military attaché at the Embassy of Ukraine in the Russian Federation.

Today, however, the shooting took place successfully, without provocation. They will continue tomorrow.

Note, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that no one interferes with the construction by Ukraine of an effective defense.

At the same time, defense Minister Stepan Poltorak said that Ukraine will not strike at the occupied Crimea in the event of a missile attack from Russia.
