Snow in the Sahara

In the largest desert in the world Sahara for the first time in 37 years the snow fell.

NASA has published a satellite image, confirming the presence of snow in the Sahara desert. Photo posted to the account Department at Twitter.

“Instrument ETM+ (Enhanced Thematic Mapper Plus) Landsat 7 took this picture of the snow that fell on North Africa, 19 December 2016, real color resolution”, – noted in NASA.

The picture covers an area near the border of Morocco and Algeria, to the South of the city Bopara and South-West of the city of ain sefra.

Recall that in the Sahara for the first time in 37 years the snow fell.
