The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has extended the admission to schools, colleges and technical schools by 2019 for obtaining the educational qualifying level “Junior specialist”. For a decision voted by 286 deputies.
It is bill No. 5240 D on amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On higher education” regarding the educational qualification level “Junior specialist”.
The bill proposes to amend section XV “Final and transitional provisions” law of Ukraine “On higher education”, which aims to provide an opportunity to higher educational institutions of I-II level of accreditation, to exercise admission to higher education on educational-qualification level “Junior specialist”. It is proposed to carry out the latest admission to education on educational-qualification level of Junior specialist in 2019.
“Since the adoption of the law of Ukraine “On education” in the new edition and the special laws requires a certain time, and the period of admission to the studies for obtaining the educational-qualification level “Junior specialist” has expired in 2016, it is advisable to postpone specified in the Law of Ukraine “On higher education” the last date of admission until 2019, with the aim of legislative regulation in this period the status of higher educational institutions of I-II accreditation levels (schools, colleges, and technical schools)”, – stated in the explanatory note to the document.
Recall, July 1, 2014, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the new wording of the law on higher education. For a decision voted 276 deputies.
