The Parliament failed to vote on the candidacy of Nigel brown
For appointment of Nigel brown lacked the 26 votes.
Parliament was unable to appoint Nigel brown, auditor of the National anti-corruption Bureau under its quota.
According to Interfax-Ukraine, for this decision voted the 200 people’s deputies with the required minimum of 226 votes, against voted 60 deputies abstained 21, 65 – did not vote.
Before that, the speaker of Parliament Andriy Parubiy issued on preferential voting candidates brown, and the second candidate – Robert Storch. During the preferential voting first candidate won more votes, after which his nomination brought to a vote for the approval of an independent auditor NABOO.
After the failed vote Parubiy requested the Committee on preventing and combating corruption “to finalize the matter in a normal and relaxed atmosphere and to submit for consideration of the Verkhovna Rada”.
As reported Корреспондент.netpreviously, the Cabinet began the selection of the auditor of the NAB under its quota. Nominations will be accepted until 24:00 on March 21.
