During the Christmas holidays throughout Ukraine, the police, National guard and state emergency service will pass to the strengthened mode of service. About it reports a press-service of the interior Ministry.

To ensure public security on 30 December units of the police, national guard, state emergency service and border guard service will pass to the strengthened mode of service.

“To ensure law and order is important. Definition of directions, setting clear objectives and interaction of safety of citizens during the celebration,” said Deputy Minister Sergei Yarovoy.

The commander of the national guard Yuriy Alleron reported that the National guard will provide public safety in close collaboration with the patrol police: “NSU and patrol units will be one component of law enforcement on the streets during mass events. Factor visualization of law enforcement at these events will be a limiting system for offenders,” said the commander of the National guard of Ukraine.

The head of the Donetsk regional state administration Mykola Chechetkin said that during service round the outfit will be on duty 7 thousand rescuers and over 2 thousand units of equipment.

In Kiev and region provided on duty during holidays 800 rescuers and 200 machines, with almost the same number of forces and means will be in an emergency reserve. In order to avoid crisis situations is provided round the clock exchange of information between the SES and related agencies and local authorities.

Border service of Ukraine will strengthen the reserves of the divisions in Lviv, Zakarpattya, Chernivtsi, Chernihiv and Odessa oblasts, and in the Dnieper section of the state border.

“During the Christmas holidays, we expect an increase in queues, especially on the Western border. So I ask the citizens to understand this”, – said the first Deputy Chairman of the State border service of Ukraine Vasyl Servatus.
