The Ukrainian leader is convinced that Ukraine and Georgia should unite with the international community in the struggle for de-occupation of territories.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said in Facebook that the Ukrainian and Georgian peoples, will jointly fight for the de-occupation of its territories.

“It hurts to look in the eyes of the people who were behind the barbed wire of the Russian occupation in friendly Georgia. For me it was important to the people behind the demarcation line in the Tskhinvali region felt that they were not alone, with them, the whole world. The Ukrainian and Georgian peoples, will jointly fight for the de-occupation of our territories”, − wrote Poroshenko.

The President of Ukraine is convinced that for the sake of liberating the occupied territories of the aggressor − Russia, Ukraine and Georgia should unite their efforts and the efforts of the international community, reported the press service of the head of state.

“We have a common aggressor in Ukraine and in Georgia is the Russian Federation. And as I said − very similar to the situation in the occupied territories: the mess, the despair, humanitarian disaster,” − said Poroshenko.

He stressed that to liberate the territory from the occupation is possible only through political and diplomatic means, but it needs the unity of the world and solidarity with Ukraine and Georgia.

“I believe that today the world is United, Russia is isolated. Russia should take steps that will facilitate the de-occupation of Ukrainian and Georgian territories”, − said the President during a visit to the demarcation line of the occupied Tskhinvali region.

Earlier at a press conference in Georgia Poroshenko said that Ukraine will resume its sovereignty over the Donbas and the Crimea.
