The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that he can’t answer the question about the fate of the suspended SFS head of the Roman Nasirov. This was reported by the press service of the head of state.

“I dream that in Ukraine every President had the ability and desire to be informed about the investigation,” – said Petro Poroshenko in an interview to Ukrainian TV channels.

The President noted that the head of the National anti-corruption Bureau Sytnyk and head of the Specialized anti-corruption prosecutors Nazar Golodnitsky can confirm non-interference of the President in their work for all time of existence of these anti-corruption bodies.

“I am proud that with my direct involvement created an independent anti-corruption infrastructure,” – said Petro Poroshenko.

Answering the journalists ‘ question on the assessment of the situation on detention of the Chairman of the State fiscal service of the Roman Nasirov and prospects of this business, the President said:
“I’m probably the first President that can answer your question “what will be the fate Nasirov”? I’m happy because I don’t know and can’t comment on the essence of this case. I don’t know. And this is just a sign of a democratic country”.

Recall that the Solomensky district court of Kiev chose Nasirova measure of restraint in form of detention for a period of 60 days with the right to make 100 million hryvnia Deposit. Nasirov is now in the chamber of Lukyanovka jail. He’s already appealed his arrest.

Chairman of the State fiscal service of Ukraine Roman Nasirov is suspected of abuse of office and embezzlement of public funds in the amount of over UAH 2 bn.
