Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on recognition of military ranks, documents on education, qualifications and military service of former Ukrainian military personnel and police officers who deserted in the armed forces after the annexation of Crimea by Russia. The corresponding decree published on the official Internet portal of legal information.
We are talking about citizens of the Russian Federation residing in the territory of the Crimea and Sevastopol received from 18 March 2014 to 2 January 2015, on military service under the contract in military units and organizations of the armed forces located in the Crimea.
Recognized as valid documents on military service in the armed forces, military formations and law enforcement bodies of Ukraine, which provide for military service.
Earlier in the General staff of the Armed forces of Ukraine said that do not consider deserters forcibly drafted into the Russian army civil Crimeans.
We will remind that on 21 November, the defense Ministry of Russia accused the Ukrainian security forces in the alleged unlawful detention and removal from the Crimea two Russian soldiers – Maxim Odintsov and Alexander Baranov. In the SBU said that the detainees are Ukrainian deserters and they were detained while trying to cross admingranitsu. There was also information that the SBU lured them documents about the Ukrainian education.
