The Russian Federation will not go on confrontation near the administrative border of Ukraine with the Crimea. Such opinion to the correspondent of “112 Ukraine” stated the ex-Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov.
“I don’t think that the Russian authorities will go to such a confrontation that will begin to make a retaliatory missile launches. I don’t think there are any reasons,” he said.
Thus Kasyanov said that the response from Russia is only possible if the Ukrainian launches will directly threaten the population of the Crimea.
Kasyanov is convinced that the accession of Crimea to Russia is illegal action, which is contrary to international law, so “Ukraine has the full right to dispose of the air space and territory which is temporarily selected”.
However, according to Kasyanov, the Ukrainian authorities should assess the political risks, going for such exercises. “Rightness on their side. But the question of provoking additional conflict also depends on the actions of the Ukrainian authorities”, – he said.
