Russian opposition activist Ildar Dading was released from penal colony No. 5 in Rubtsovsk in Altai Krai by the decision of the Supreme court on February 22. It is reported by “Novaya Gazeta”.
“Civic activist Ildar Dading convicted of a violation of the rules of participation in the pickets, was released. About the penal colony №5 in Altai region in Rubtsovsk he met his wife Anastasia Zotova, sister, activists of the local branch of the party “Yabloko”, ten journalists,” – says in the message.
As reported, on 22 February, the Presidium of the Supreme court (SC) of Russia has revoked the sentence of opposition activist Ildar Dadina, who was sentenced to real term of punishment for repeated violation of rules of picketing.

In December 2015 Dading was convicted of the offence provided for in the contested article. He was sentenced to three years imprisonment, later the punishment was reduced to 2.5 years.
The dading was transferred from a colony Segezha in Karelia, where, according to him, it was torture. In January 2017, it became known that the convicted person resides in a colony №5 in the town of Rubtsovsk in Altai Krai.
