Co-author of a bill that requires public employees to undergo examinations for drug and alcohol addicted and mental state, Denis Silantyev said that the adoption of this document would counter, however, ready to discuss its essence and content. About this Silantyev said in comments to “112 Ukraine”.
He stressed that facts “inadequate” behavior of Ukrainian politicians – not a novelty.
“We have repeatedly witnessed that representatives of the state authorities and the same MPs have behaved, to put it mildly, inadequate. Over time, it intensified and became increasingly… today the effect of this law extends on the head of the Verkhovna Rada, the head of the presidential Administration and a number of representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers. I just suggest to expand this to all MPs, civil servants, heads of regional and city administrations. For those people who affect decision-making in this country, regions and cities. I this bill was proposed as an idea. Further it will be discussed in the committees. I think then it will be modified. I am ready for any suggestions,” said co-author of the bill.

“I understand that there will be opponents (the bill – ed.)”, – he added.
Earlier it became known that the leader of Radical party Oleg Lyashko has registered in the Verkhovna Rada a draft law (No. 5409), which requires public employees to undergo examinations for drug and alcohol addicted and mental state. In the explanatory note to the document notes that they proposed to introduce a special annual check on health status (to determine mental condition of a person, possible addiction and dependence on alcohol and psychoactive toxic substances) and to extend it to all persons authorized to perform state functions or local government.
In turn, the first Deputy Minister of justice Natalia Sevostyanova believes that the adoption of the draft law on checking public servants to drug and alcohol addicted is not surprising that is similar to the standards prescribed in many legal acts. She declared it on air of TV channel “112 Ukraine”.
