Now NASA does not conduct the search for extraterrestrial civilizations.
The chief astronomer of the American Institute SETI Seth Shostak is confident that in the next 10-12 years, scientists can take a signal from extraterrestrial civilizations, proving the existence of aliens.
The researcher in an interview expressed the view that the signal confirming the existence of aliens, will be fixed soon enough, writes TASS.
“We’re receiving many signals, perhaps every 10 seconds. We check them all, it is automatic. Almost all of them within 10 minutes recognized interference of terrestrial origin. We have a very good system that allow it to do. Every couple of years, maybe every 5 or 10 years, can receive signal, which seems interesting for many hours,” – said Shostak.
According to him, eight years ago during a speech in Germany, argued with the audience that for a couple of decades, scientists will get a corresponding signal.
The main American astronomer of the SETI Institute noted that currently NASA does not conduct the search for extraterrestrial civilizations. A research team at the University of California, Berkeley, and some scientists at Harvard.
