The French administrative court confirmed that Google is subject to French law.

Google has won a lawsuit in France that will allow the company to avoid payments in the amount of 1.12 billion euros to the state budget, which insisted that the French tax office.

According to the decision of the French court, Google did not violate the law, fixing the part of the domestic sales reporting for the Irish unit.

The court ruled that an Irish subsidiary of Google, responsible for European operations, the company may not be taxed in France.

“Irish company Google Ireland Ltd. could not be taxed in France”, – is spoken in the decision of the court.

In 2015, the French tax service has addressed to law enforcement bodies of the country complained about the fact that Google Ireland Ltd. not filed a tax return, despite the implementation of activities on the territory of France.

“The French administrative court confirmed that Google is subject to French law and international standards”, – reads the statement Google.

Earlier, the European Commission fined Google for a record 2.4 billion euros in the case of abuse of company a dominant position in the market with the promotion of Google Shopping.
