The court refused Shokin in reinstatement

Yuriy Lutsenko announced this at a Parliament meeting.

The highest court refused to ex-Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin in the reinstatement of the head of the GPU. This was stated by the acting Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko, speaking in Parliament.

“Today the Supreme court refused to dismiss Lutsenko and reinstatement Shokin,” – said the head of the GPU.

We will remind, on April 20 the Supreme administrative court of Ukraine upheld the claim of ex-Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin on his reinstatement without consideration in fact.

The GPU said that Shokin filed a lawsuit based on personal interests.

Earlier, on March 29, 2016 the Verkhovna Rada gave its consent to the dismissal of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, Prosecutor General Viktor Shokina. April 3 the President signed a decree dismissing him from his post. In may of the same year the Prosecutor General of Ukraine was appointed Yuriy Lutsenko.
