The court repeatedly allowed the Prosecutor General of Ukraine to initiate an investigation in absentia against the former Minister of health Raisa Bogatyryova, transfer “Ukrainian news”, referring to the decision of the court on November 17.
According to the document, 20 October 2014, the Prosecutor General’s office reported Bogatyryova on suspicion of misappropriation of another’s property by abuse of his official position, on preliminary arrangement by group of persons in especially large sizes. 21 Oct 2014 she was declared wanted.
As a result of the events, the Prosecutor General’s office received from the working apparatus Ukrainian Interpol Bureau a letter stating that on March 16, 2014 former Minister S7156 flight took off from Moldova (Chisinau airport) (airport “Domodedovo” in Moscow), and have not returned to Ukraine.
Thus in 2015, the court gave permission to the Prosecutor’s office at the beginning of the in absentia proceedings, but then it was cancelled due to blocking of its wanted list on Interpol channels.
Prosecutors re-appealed to the court in connection with changes in the law that allows you to start special investigations against the suspect for more than 6 months hiding from the investigation authorities.
The investigating judge, after hearing the opinion of the parties to criminal proceedings, after reviewing the case decided to grant the Prosecutor General’s office permission to begin in absentia proceedings against Bohatyryova.
We will remind, in September it became known that Interpol refused to search for ex-Minister of health Raisa Bohatyryova. This was stated by her lawyer Dmitry Belyaev.
In the Ukrainian Bureau of Interpol confirmed this information – it happened over a month ago.
Recall that in March 2016 Bohatyriova was expelled from the sanctions list of the EU. The GPU said that the ex-Minister of health Raisa Bogatyryova not found cash abroad, so “the sense of having no sanctions, apart from the political component”.
