MP Dmitry Linko, which detained the editor-in-chief Stranaya Igor Guzhva, made a statement.

MP from the faction of the Radical party Dmitry Linko said that the editors of the online edition Stranaya demanded money from him for not being the incriminating evidence. He said this in comments to NewsOne TV channel.

At the request of the journalist to comment on the words of the editor Stranaya Igor Guzhva that Linko offered him 20 thousand dollars to remove the material, the MP said: “I can’t reveal all the details during the investigation, however, can report that the opposite is true – just from the wording Stranaya was blackmail and extortion of money.”

According to the Deputy, the fixing of attempted blackmail, were sold by intermediaries, but he did not specify their names.

“Audio and video recording. Did not capture me, it was a mediator. However, I cannot provide more details until the investigation is underway,” – said the Deputy.

On the question of why the publication decided to demand a bribe from him, Linko did not answer and promised to provide more details on Friday, June 23.

Prosecutor General Yury Lutsenko reported about the detention of editor-in-chief edition Igor Guzhva. According to the head of the GPU, Guzhva allegedly demanded and received 10 thousand dollars for the deployment of compromising materials on the current policy.
