MP of Ukraine, Chairman of the parliamentary Subcommittee on human rights and the leader of the political party “For life” Vadim Rabinovich left the live broadcast program of one of Ukrainian television after a conversation with the Minister of culture Yevhen Nyshchuk. It happened the evening of 20 April.
The program participants discussed cultural issues, particularly concerned the so-called language, quotas for programmes, bans on films and touring artists, as well as prospects of Ukrainian culture.
At the time of inclusion in the broadcast of the Minister of culture of Ukraine Yevhen Nischuk host of the program asked him about the personalities of the independence and morality in politics. Nishchuk stated that among those who stood with him on the Maidan, “bastards were not”. Vadim Rabinovich in response, asked if there were any such among colleagues Nischuk in the government. The Minister replied in the negative, and Rabinovich said: “Then you’re exactly the same”. This aroused the indignation of the leading programs. The MP refused to continue participation in the program.
