The Ukrainian foreign Ministry called provocation an act of vandalism in Ternopil

Embassy of Ukraine in Israel expressed concern about the surge of anti-Semitic provocations in the country.

The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine condemned the act of vandalism in Ternopil, where unknown persons desecrated the monument to Holocaust victims, reports the press service of the Ministry.

“We believe this is a planned provocation aimed to undermine the inter-ethnic peace and consent in Ukraine. Confident that law enforcement bodies of Ukraine will take all necessary measures to ensure that the originators and perpetrators of this shameful crime was quickly found and brought to justice,” reads the comments of the Ministry.

Note, the Ukrainian Embassy in Israel has expressed concern about the surge of anti-Semitic provocations in Ukraine and also urged law enforcement agencies to conduct a thorough incident investigation, particularly regarding the desecration of the Holocaust memorial in Ternopil region and the destruction of the memorial wall dedicated to the victims of the Holocaust in the town of Savran, Odessa region.
