The Ministry of justice did not support the settlement of migrants in exchange for bezviz
The Ministry reported that the idea of Ukraine received a quota for the resettlement of migrants does not reflect the official position of the Ministry.
The Ministry of justice reacted to the idea of Deputy justice Minister on European integration Sergei Petukhov to resettle migrants in Ukraine for visa-free regime.
In a press-service of the Ministry reported that Ukraine has fulfilled all its obligations in the framework of obtaining bezveza with the EU.
Before Ukraine was delivered an unprecedented number of demands by the European Commission − more than 50. They are all fully implemented and are now expected relevant decisions from the European side.
“At the same time, I want to note that any statements regarding the ability of our countries to take on additional responsibilities through obtaining “bezveze” are just personal opinions of their authors,” − said the press service of the Ministry of justice.
“In particular, I wish to announce that the publication in Facebook the Deputy Minister of justice Sergey Petukhov and his thoughts on the possibility of Ukraine’s quota for the resettlement of migrants is its personal position as a citizen and a man who took part in the respective negotiation process”, − added in Department.
The idea Petukhov “in no way reflects the official position of the Ministry of justice or the head of the Ministry of justice Pavel Petrenko”.
Earlier it was reported that the Deputy Minister of justice on issues of European integration roosters put forward the idea that Ukraine took on the quota of one of the EU countries in the resettlement of migrants for visa-free regime.
Later, after a violent reaction in the network, Petukhov said that his proposal to bezviz in “exchange” for the admission of refugees – “personal reflections and proposals for discussion”.
