International competition of NASA’s “Space Apps Challenge” is held annually since 2012, and gathers tens of thousands of professionals.

Two Ukrainian teams entered the TOP 25 of the most ambitious annual international hackathon NASA’s “Space Apps Challenge 2017” in the category Рeoples ‘ Choice, reported the State space Agency of Ukraine.

Leaders of the NASA contest was the team of engineers from the Dnieper with educational and research project Diversity.

“The goal of the project is to train a new generation of space researchers and the popularization of space. Team Spacer suggested that the “earth” model of the space station, which will become a laboratory for studies with simulated space conditions for everyone”, – stated in the message text.

Also among the best Autonomous Smart Village – the concept of reasonable settlement, which was proposed Odessa students.

“Intelligent control systems combined with an extensive space infrastructure will make the life of humans comfortable and safe and efficient use of resources”, – reports the Agency.

The state Agency calls on Ukrainians to support my fellow citizens vote.

International competition of NASA’s “Space Apps Challenge” is held annually since 2012, and gathers tens of thousands of students, engineers, programmers and other professionals worldwide, who within 48 hours to solve the tasks proposed by the us space Agency.

Ukraine joined the NASA hackathon in 2016 and immediately won the audience award for the development of a model of MarsHopper rocket plane to study Mars.

Hackathon is a developer forum, during which experts from different areas of software development (programmers, designers, managers) work together at solution of any problem.
