It is also noted that the fed has predicted three lift the base rate in 2017 against the two increases expected. Its average level should reach 1,375 percent.

In addition, the fed raised the growth forecast for the US economy in 2016 to 1.9 percent from 1.8 percent in September. Expectations on the dynamics of inflation rose from 1.3 to 1.5 percent. The forecast for the unemployment rate improved from 4.8 to 4.7 percent.

As you know, in December 2015, the fed raised the benchmark rate to 0,25-0,5 percent. Prior to this the base rate the fed was at the level of 0-0,25 percent. It was the lowest figure in U.S. history, which lasted for seven years, since December 2008.
