Ukraine and Hungary signed an agreement on financial cooperation and infrastructure development

Prime Ministers of Ukraine and Hungary Vladimir Groisman and Victor Orban, as well as representatives of the two governments signed today, November 24, a number of bilateral documents. About it reports a press-service of the Cabinet.

“So, Vladimir Groisman and Victor Orban signed a Framework agreement between the government of Ukraine and government of Hungary concerning the granting of the loan under the terms of tied aid and the Protocol of intent on comprehensive development of border crossing points and infrastructure at the state border between Ukraine and Hungary”, – is told in the message.

In the presence of heads of governments of Ukraine and Hungary, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Kistion and the Minister of national development of Hungary Miklos Shestak have signed an agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the government of Hungary on road maintenance of border bridges on the Ukrainian-Hungarian state border.

In turn, Ambassador of Ukraine to Hungary with Love Nepop and state Secretary of the Ministry of human resources of Hungary Benz of Ratware an agreement was signed between the Ministry of youth and sports of Ukraine and Ministry of human resources of Hungary on cooperation in the field of sports and physical culture.

“Today we have signed agreements providing for specific measures in various fields. I am deeply convinced that we must deepen our economic relationship, to enhance and expand the capabilities of our international trade, and creating conditions for quality investment in the economies of our countries. Here we are absolutely open to such cooperation”, – said Groisman.

According to Viktor Orban, the agreements that were signed today, are for the benefit of both Ukraine and Hungary.

“About tonight, I can say that the outstanding economic and infrastructure programs in both countries was launched today,” – said the Prime Minister of Hungary.

Hungary provides € 50 million to the implementation of the programme commenced, he said.

Note, a framework agreement between the government of Ukraine and government of Hungary concerning the granting of the loan under the terms of tied aid is to create framework for financial cooperation which will make possible the granting of Hungary of the associated credit assistance for the purchase of goods and/or services originating from Hungary. Funds of the related loan may be used only for the purpose of implementation of infrastructure projects identified in the Annex to the Agreement.

The Protocol of intent on comprehensive development of border crossing points and infrastructure at the state border between Ukraine and Hungary is for the purpose of identifying priority projects for development of border crossing points and infrastructure communications at the state border between Hungary and Ukraine. The document records the agreement that Hungary will Finance the construction of a bypass road around the Coast, as well as upgrading of the road between the cities of Mukachevo and Beregovo target loan in the amount of 50 million euros. The Protocol established that the issues related to developing and financing cross-border infrastructure, will be discussed at the meetings of the expert working groups.

The agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the government of Hungary on road maintenance of border bridges on the Ukrainian-Hungarian state border is intended to ensure the maintenance of an appropriate level of accessible, international, bilateral border traffic reports.

The agreement between the Ministry of youth and sports of Ukraine and Ministry of human resources of Hungary on cooperation in the field of sports and physical training aimed at strengthening contacts between Central bodies of Executive power, responsible for the development of sport and physical culture. The document defines areas of cooperation and its organizational and financial base.

We will note, earlier Ukraine and the Netherlands agreed to intensify cooperation in the sphere of development of inland waterways and port infrastructure.
