Ukraine and Iran have agreed to launch a test train for the transport of agricultural products. About it reports a press-service of the Ministry of Infrastructure.
First of all, we are talking about transportation of grain from Ukraine to Iran.
The route will pass through Georgia and Azerbaijan.

Minister of infrastructure Volodymyr Omelian said that a test train Ukraine-Iran could make a run in the summer of 2017.
“This is a very promising area of cooperation for both countries. Ukraine needs to develop a new international transport corridors in order to become a reliable transit bridge between Europe, Asia and the East, ” said Omeljan.

He also urged the Iranian side to consider the possibility of transporting Iranian oil to Ukraine and the prospects of building an oil refinery on the territory of our state.
The parties also discussed cooperation in the field of Maritime and road transport, focusing particularly on the issues of strengthening cooperation in the aviation sector.

Recall that in 2016 in Ukraine gathered a record harvest of grain (66 million tons).
According to the Ministry of agrarian policy of Ukraine, as of 18 April, the sowing of spring grain and leguminous crops in our country is produced on an area of 2.6 million hectares or 36% compared to the forecast (7.2 million ha).
