Ukraine rapidly increases its reserves in underground storage facilities

Ukraine after the end of the heating season, increased gas reserves in its underground storages (UGS) to 29.9%. This is evidenced by the operational data of Ukrtransgaz.

So, since March 22, when they were the smallest ones gas reserves in underground storage facilities this year, on June 10, storage was added to 2.42 billion million cubic meters – to 10.52 billion cubic meters.

The current stock is 12.4% more than on June 10 of 2016 (9.36 billion cubic meters).

In the period from 1 to 10 June 2017 Ukraine joins UGS on 475,77 million cubic meters of gas or on average by 47.58 million cubic meters/day, while in may the daily fix averaged 51,86 million cubic meters.

As reported Корреспондент.netin may, Ukraine has sharply increased the pumping of gas into underground storage facilities due to the growth of imports from Hungary at 10 million cubic meters per day.

We will remind, Ukraine is importing natural gas under the contract with Gazprom from 26 November 2015, buying this online exclusively on its Western border.
