Ukraine received the second tranche of financial assistance from the EU 55 million Euro

The money will go on financing of expenses of the General Fund budget.

Ukraine has received the second and final tranche of financial assistance of the European Union in the amount 55,125 million euros. The first tranche of € 250 million was allocated in July 2014.

“This assistance is recognition of the reforms from the EU”, – said the press service of the Ministry of Finance.

The Finance Ministry stressed that the money is provided by the evaluation Evrokomissii carrying out in Ukraine reforms in the areas of the fight against corruption and goszakupok.

We will remind, the contract for Ukraine on development and state support for reforms is part of the overall package of EU financial support to Ukraine with a volume of 11 billion euros, negotiated and adopted by European Commission in March 2014 and signed in may 2014.

The Ministry said that the money will go on financing of expenses of the General Fund budget.

The Ministry also reminded that these funds are gratuitous and irrevocable.

Earlier it was reported that Japan was a major “sponsor” of the APU.
