Украина призвала мир потребовать от России выполнения минских соглашений и продлить санкции

Russia has not fulfilled any of its obligations under the Minsk agreements, in connection with which Ukraine has called on all UN member States to demand from the Russian Federation execution of obligations and called on the international community to extend the duration of sanctions in connection with Russia’s aggression in Ukraine. This is stated in the statement of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine on implementation of the Minsk agreements.

“Russia and its controlled terrorists continue armed provocations, including the use of weapons that should be reserved for the control and monitoring of the OSCE – reactive systems of volley fire, artillery, mortars caliber 82 mm and 120. Russian troops in the Donbas without hindrance, continue to implement the rotation, training and supply through uncontrolled areas of the state border”, – said in a statement.

Russia and its puppets constantly prevent the release of more than 130 Ukrainian hostages, keeping them in inhuman conditions, subjecting them to torture and threatening them with the death penalty in accordance with the criminal code of the USSR. Russia continues political persecution of Ukrainian citizens and refuses to release Ukrainian political prisoners Savchenko, Sentsov, Kolchenko and other illegally staying in Russia.

The Russian Federation and the militants blocked the supply of Ukrainian and international humanitarian assistance to the civilian population and systematically prevented international humanitarian organizations, including red cross.

“Ukraine calls on all UN member States to demand that the Russian Federation fulfil its obligations in accordance with the UN Charter and international law, the full implementation of the Minsk accords and an immediate end to all acts of aggression against Ukraine. We urge the international community to exert maximum pressure on Russia to maintain the sanctions until the Donbass and Crimea will not be deoccupied and territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine is restored,” the statement said.

The foreign Ministry noted that Ukraine, in turn, consistently fulfils its commitments of security, political, humanitarian and socio-economic nature, namely: ceased firing, secured full access to the Special monitoring mission of the OSCE, presented their vision of the modalities of holding local elections in certain districts of Donetsk and Lugansk regions (IDLO) respectively to the Minsk agreements, international standards and Ukrainian law; made important steps towards a political settlement, having accepted in the first reading the draft law on amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian government continues to supply gas and electricity to the militants-controlled territory, to make payments of pensions and other social payments to Ukrainian citizens in the occupied territory of Donbass. Being under constant shelling, Ukrainian experts to restore the infrastructure, damaged gas and water lines, power lines to ensure the needs of the civilian population.
