Possible investment by China in modernization and manufacture of electric locomotives on the basis of “Ukrzaliznytsya”.

Ukraine plans to borrow from China Eximbank for the construction of a bridge in Kremenchug $ 300 million loan, said the first Vice Prime Minister – Minister of economic development and trade of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv following the meeting with the Vice Premier of the State Council of China MA Kai.

In addition, according to Vice-Premier, it is also possible to invest in the modernization of China and manufacture of electric locomotives on the basis of “Ukrzaliznytsya”.

“Through the Chinese company “China road and bridges” we plan to attract $ 300 million loan from China Eximbank for the construction of a bridge in Kremenchuk. A state-owned company “China railway” is considering investing in modernization and manufacture of electric locomotives at the production facilities of PJSC “Ukrzaliznytsia”, – said Cube.

Deputy Minister of infrastructure of Ukraine Viktor Dovgan was also told about priority infrastructure projects for Ukraine and noted the importance of attracting Chinese investment.

“We support the Chinese side and the Ministry of transport, and Commerce, and Deputy Prime Minister, let’s make one successful infrastructure project, and it will open doors for Chinese investment in Ukraine”, – said Dougan.

Existing Kryukovsky bridge in Kremenchug is in poor condition and may be closed due to danger of collapse, and two bands not enough for a normal pass for transit and urban transport.

The Cabinet plans to build a new bridge crossing across the Dnieper river in Kremenchug directly.

Recall, the Kyiv city state administration signed a Memorandum of cooperation with the Chinese consortium, which includes the company “China Railway International Group” and “China Pacific Construction Group”, the project of construction of a fourth subway line in Kyiv.
