The gold of the Scythians is in the Netherlands for more than two years

Allard Pierson Museum spent on the storage and inventory of the treasures of the Crimea more than 100 thousand euros.

A court in the Netherlands, taking a decision on the return of Scythian gold to Ukraine, agreed that the Ukrainian side should compensate for the cost of storage of the collection in the Allard Pierson Museum in Amsterdam. This writes European true with reference to the Dutch media.

“Ukraine needs to pay a sum of 111 million euros, of which the Allard Pierson Museum has spent on the storage and inventory of the treasures of the Crimea”, – stated in the message.

The court’s decision can be appealed against within three months. During this time the Scythian gold will be kept in the Museum of Amsterdam.

If it is not specified how the Museum will offset the cost of further storage of the collection.

As reported Корреспондент.nettoday the district court of Amsterdam decided to return to Ukraine collection of Scythian gold, brought to the exhibition in the Netherlands before the annexation of Crimea by Russia.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that the decision of the court proves that the Crimea is Ukrainian.
