During the eleventh session of the intergovernmental Committee of UNESCO on November 29, decided to include Cossack songs to a list of elements of intangible cultural heritage that require immediate protection. About it reports a press-service of the Ministry of culture.
The decision on inclusion of the Cossack songs were adopted during the eleventh session of the UNESCO intergovernmental Committee for the safeguarding of intangible cultural heritage, which is being held in Addis Ababa (Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia – ed.)
The session was presented and adopted the report of Ukraine’s implementation of the UNESCO Convention for the safeguarding of the intangible cultural heritage.
Earlier that Cossack songs can be included in the List of intangible cultural heritage of humanity compiled by UNESCO, reported the Minister of culture Yevhen Nyshchuk.
Recall that UNESCO stepped up monitoring of the situation in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
