The Prosecutor General’s office explained the refusal of Interpol to look for Yanukovych The Department argued that the decision of Interpol adopted because of the shortcomings of the Ukrainian legislation. The GPU said that the removal of the Interpol’s wanted list of former President Viktor Yanukovych is due to “shortcomings of the Ukrainian legislation on election of a measure of restraint in respect of wanted persons and suspect status”
