The company Prikarpatzapadtrans, exploiting the Ukrainian section of the pipeline “Samara-West direction” on the transportation of Russian and Belarusian DT, is preparing in may to resume work after a two year hiatus. This was announced by the Director of the enterprise Sergey Pshenichny the Agency Interfax-Ukraine.

“Now the preparations continue for the restoration of reliable and safe operation of the pipeline. I hope that at the end of may will be held the first test pumping of the loading station in Novograd-Volynsky” he said.

According to the Director, initiated customs clearance process of about 30 thousand tons of diesel fuel contained in the pipeline, for its subsequent replacement on the product quality Euro-5. In the future it is planned to transport diesel fuel only this brand.

“The main problem remain illegal tie for the purpose of theft of diesel fuel. Plan to join efforts with colleagues from the state company Ukrtransnafta and to initiate tougher penalties on damage to oil and product pipelines,” said Wheat.

Precarpathians operates part of the pipeline “Samara-West direction” (1,100 sq km) and is intended for pumping diesel fuel from Russia and Belarus for domestic needs of Ukraine and for transit to Europe, particularly in Hungary. The design capacity of the highway is 3.5 million tons per year.
