Baluch believes that his only fault is that he is a Ukrainian

Protection of Ukrainian insisted on the illegality of detention.

Ukrainian activist Volodymyr Baluja, a case which the Supreme court of Crimea has sent on additional investigation, left in custody until 16 January 2018. The corresponding decision was taken Razdolnensky district court, the Krym.Realities.

According to prosecutors, on the loose, Baluch “can continue to engage in illegal activity”. Protection, in turn, said that the Prosecutor had not presented any evidence, and emphasized that the court had no legitimate reason to keep the activist in custody and recalled that his dependent is elderly mother.

Himself Baluch in the debate said that all of the grounds for his detention disappeared all except for the presence of Ukrainian citizenship.

“I am Ukrainian. This is the only reason you can leave me in jail,” he said.

We will remind, on August 4, Baluja in occupied Crimea has sentenced to three years seven months in prison. In December 2016, he was arrested for possession of ammunition.

Human rights activists in turn demanded from the world community of sanctions against the defendants in the case of Baluga.
