Ukraine continues to increase the export of products and agricultural products

In January-April the export of products to EU increased by 14% and amounted to $ 2.8 billion.

Four months of 2018 Ukrainian agricultural and food exports to all countries amounted to nearly $6 billion this was announced by Deputy Minister of agrarian policy and food of Ukraine on European integration Olga Trofimova, the press service of the Ministry.

A significant share in commodity structure of export is crops – 37%, vegetable oil – 26.1% and oilseeds – 9%.

Foreign trade turnover of agricultural and food products between Ukraine and the EU countries increased by almost 14% compared to the same period last year and amounted to $2.8 billion.

While agricultural exports to EU countries during this time increased by $145 million compared to 2017 to $1.9 billion.

“Today has already exhausted the main import tariff quotas of the EU for Ukrainian honey, malt and wheat gluten, processed tomatoes grape and Apple juice, corn, wheat and flour,” – said Trofimova.

The Deputy Minister also noted that almost full amount of remaining import tariff quotas for the following products: garlic (494,9 tons), oats (3 476,9 tons), sugar (18 121,35 tons), another sugar (12 720 tons), mushrooms (500 tons), products of processed milk (1 992 tons), sugar syrups (2 000 tons) and others.

“I note that it is not fully used additional quotas on a “first come, first served” for such items as: grape juice, oats, honey, barley grits, processed tomatoes. Also additional quotas are exhausted on the principle of “licensing” for barley and barley flour, egg, albumin and milk,” – said the Deputy Minister.

Earlier it was reported that Ukraine’s exports becoming more and more focused on the EU.
