Ukraine’s largest poultry producer has reduced sales by 13%.

Agroholding Myronivsky Hliboproduct (MHP) in July-September 2017 sold to external customers 134 800 tons of chicken meat, which is 13% less than in July-September 2016. It is stated in the report of the company, reports Interfax-Ukraine.

The drop in sales the company attributed to reduced stocks of poultry meat and 21 000 tons at the beginning of the third quarter of this year compared to 46 300 tons a year earlier.

“Bird stock MHP at the end of the third quarter of 2017 are historically low as a percentage of the volume of monthly production,” the report says.

Also, the volume of poultry meat production in the third quarter of 2017 fell 2 percent to 137 000 tonnes.

Since the beginning of the year, MHP increased sales of poultry meat to third parties by 4% to 419 000 tonnes, while reducing production 0.3% – to 424 700 tons.
