The head of the Crimea Sergey Aksenov was awarded the Russian presidential aide Vladislav Surkov with the order “For fidelity to duty”.

The medal was awarded with the wording “for their personal courage and patriotism in defending the constitutional rights and freedoms of Crimean residents”.

“Believe me, Vladislav Yurievich — a reliable member of the President’s team. We always rely on him. He is always at the right time in the right place. And he always keeps his word”, — said Aksenov.

In turn, Surkov said that he was honored “to receive the award from such an important region, as the Crimea”, and also said that Aksenov — “the great patriot of Russia”.

Crimean awards were also awarded to the leaders of the “Union of volunteers of Donbass” Alexander Boroday, and Andrei Pinchuk.

Earlier in Russia was awarded the Kuban Cossacks over the referendum in Crimea.
