The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine fined OKKO, WOG and SOCAR for UAH 77 million for anticompetitive concerted actions on the market of light petroleum products, in particular, for similar actions for 2017, said head of the Committee Yuriy Terentyev in Facebook.

“Today, 14 may 2019, the AMC adopted a decision on the result of the investigation of the Commission of anti-competitive concerted actions by companies WOG, OKKO, SOCAR (part 3 of article 6 of the law “On protection of economic competition” – the Commission of such actions for 2017). Defendants imposed fines in the total amount of more than 77 million UAH”, – he wrote.

Terent’ev also added that after the Committee in November 2016 decision on imposing a fine on a number of oil traders (for a total amount of 204 million UAH) in the oil market is more intense price competition.

“No longer have a situation where half the market is keeping an artificially inflated price, which “determined” the so-called “market leaders”. The decision in 2016 on three of the six defendants was supported by all levels of the judicial system. The process for three other defendants who, incidentally, are defendants in today’s decision are still ongoing.

Earlier the Antimonopoly Committee refused to consider the case of a possible breach of competition law when making formulas Rotterdam+ on demand state-owned company Energoatom.
